Charming!
Love this house! Love the idea and motivation of this couple! But can´t stop thinking how painful would be to keep clean all those windows... as a clean freak that´s a bit of a turn off (lol)!

Dark as roses, fine as sand
Feel your healing and your sting again
I hear you laughing and my soul is saved
On forgotten graves you cry
Crawl like ivy up my spine
Through my nerves and into my eyes
Cuts like anguish
Or recollections of better days gone by
Feel your healing and your sting again
I hear you laughing and my soul is saved
On forgotten graves you cry
Crawl like ivy up my spine
Through my nerves and into my eyes
Cuts like anguish
Or recollections of better days gone by

Kali
I was looking for an illustration of Goddess Kali when this one came up. So beautiful!! This was made as a poster concept and design for Poetry in Public India, which is a movement that celebrates and upholds urban India’s rich literary tradition and local writing talent by displaying poems by women poets of all ages, sexual orientations and ethnic groups in public and cultural spaces across urban India. It aims to make women’s poetry freely accessible to the masses, at unconventional public and cultural spaces in urban India, through the creative medium of poster art. PPI also assists local poets in reaching out to wider audiences through a free urban forum. The hope is to create a space and a movement, which enables the public to interact with powerful feminist verse and art.

Year of the Fire Rooster
mysticmammaYear of the Fire Rooster comes a crowing saying, Wake up! His crow alerts us that a new day is dawning, but we must rise and mobilize into action as we come together for the wellbeing of our roost/planet. All Chinese wisdom traditions, including medicine, divination, astrology, and feng shui, are systems of pattern identification that guide us in adapting gracefully to change. Astrology is best viewed as a tool to discern where we are in the shifting cycles of time. A new chapter of the story is about to begin with the arrival of the Fire Rooster.

Carmen Herrera : It’s not cheap getting old.
With everything she went through to get where she is today, Carmen has not lost her sense of humour. Commenting on the fact that her paintings are now very expensive, she does not try to hide her delight, particularly as she herself put it: “It’s not cheap getting old”.
Born in Havana in 1915, Herrera has lived in Paris, Cuba and New York where she eventually settled in 1954. At 101 years old, Herrera is in her artistic prime. She has been a working artist for the best part of a century, but it wasn’t until 2004, at the age of 89, that she sold her first painting.
